Lake Weir Kiwanis
Teddy Bear Express heads to Tuscaloosa Alabama with a trailer load of Teddy Bears for Tornado Impacted Kids.

PlayTime Toys donates, along with Gammons Charitable Foundation and many others.  Jack Crisswell and Don Browning to depart for Tuscaloosa Thursday AM.

Sheriff Ed Dean was extremely helpful with the Katrina relief effort and again asked his staff to get involved in delivering relief to Tuscaloosa children.

Current club president Ron Beal of Lake Weir Kiwanis, and past presidents George Albright and Jack Criswell are leading the charge.

Tuscaloosa Alabama has had its share of violent weather.  In the 1840's a great deal of the town of Tuscaloosa was destroyed by a tornado, now here it comes again.  Now in 2011 with great death and destruction Tuscaloosa has again been targeted by cyclonic weather.  The Florida Economic Action Team in Marion County decided to pitch in and help with the comfort of caring by the Lake Weir Kiwanis members.  Marion County Sheriff and the Ocala Kiwanis Club joined Play Time Toys in helping the Lake Weir Kiwanis Club Teddy Bear Express become a reality.
